Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

A vigorous but sophisticated New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc produced from selected organic vineyard blocks in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. A vibrant and pure wine - juicy, yet soft, with good depth and body – that truly stands in a class of its own.

TASTING NOTES

A gentle nose of lime, nettle, honeydew melon and mineral. Hints of sweet nectarine.

Spice, lime and moss with tarragon and lemongrass. Orange blossom and pear finishing with a lingering mandarin note. Juicy, yet soft, with good viscosity and volume.

Fruit from certified organic vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere valleys were quickly crushed and pressed into stainless steel tanks. The juice was fermented at controlled temperatures to capture the unique varietal flavours of the grape. Strict organic procedures were followed at all times.

Oysters, scallops, crab, clams, lobster, prawns - any shellfish with zingy flavours or a citrus or garlic marinade or dressing. (Big fat garlicky prawns - yum).

"Fragrant and fruity with a lifted white spice, fresh citrus and mineral bouquet. Youthful, fresh, vital and enticing. On the palate - equally fresh and enticing with a calm yet persistent core of citrus and tropical fruit flavours, lemon, mineral, a touch of tangerine then apple and grapefruit. A light fresh and dried herb layers introduces complexity and charm. Balanced and well made, ready to drink from 2021 through 2025." - 93 POINTS - Cameron Douglas MS, www.camdouglas.com
