Family Reserve Hawke's Bay Syrah
From our estate-owned vineyards in the Hawke’s Bay this Syrah offers delicate raspberry and floral flavours in a light, fresh and peppery style. Fine tannins with a creamy texture to a palate loaded with dark fruits and sweet spice.
Tasting Notes
Sweet dark fruits, plum and grape, with complex leather and cedar notes. Peppery also.
Viscous entry with abundant fruit - plums, cherry and raspberry. Notes of olive and vanilla and a sweet spicy finish that lingers. Varietal, weighty and rich.

Winemaker Notes
Harvested grapes predominately from the Waihopai Valley were de-stemmed but not crushed. Fermentation took place in a range of open and closed ferment vessels with minimal cap management. After a period on skins post ferment the wine was drained and matured with oak for a minimum of four months.

n ideal partner to strongly flavoured foods such as balsamic marinated steak or salami, artichokes, olives and sun-dried tomatoes.
