Tasting Notes
Raspberry and strawberry with mineral and dried herbs. Raisin, plum and leather join with cedar and vanilla.
Medium weight with a supple entry. Plum and strawberry build through the mid-palate, followed by raspberry, cherry and cedar spice on the finish. Fine tannins shape a smooth, luscious mouthfeel.

Winemaker Notes
Harvested grapes predominately from the Waihopai Valley were de-stemmed but not crushed. Fermentation took place in a range of open and closed ferment vessels with minimal cap management. After a period on skins post ferment the wine was drained and matured with oak for a minimum of four months.
Food Pairing
An ideal partner to strongly flavoured foods such as balsamic marinated steak or salami, artichokes, olives and sun-dried tomatoes.
