Nobody makes Riesling like the Germans, except us

Every winemaking nation and region in the world has its hero wines.

In Germany, there’s no wine more German than a riesling. So in 2001 at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, it was with great pride (and slight embarassment) that a Babich Riesling took out the trophy, beating the German winemakers at their own game. But they did bring it on themselves; it was after all a German who ordered the first international shipment of Babich wine back in 1981, launching our name onto the international stage.
