For a very special day, Josip Babich was happy to go the extra mile

In the earliest days, when Josip was making wine in the gumfields, one of his first big sales was 12 bottles for a wedding.

Although selling wine by the dozen is the standard these days, back then it was a huge milestone. Josip delivered it himself, riding 40 miles on horseback with six bottles slung over each side. He was invited to the wedding and celebrated through the night. In the morning all agreed; Babich wine was the perfect match for a special day.
