65 years after we started, Babich Wines goes full circle

One of the proudest moments of Josip’s career happened in his final years.

A German businessman, having heard great things about our wine, pulled up in front of the winery with the intention of exporting Babich wine to Germany. Peter brought him in for lunch and a deal was done. Just days later, 85 year old Josip stood proudly in the driveway watching a shipping container filled with Babich wine begin its journey to Europe, seven decades after he had journeyed the other way.
